Candidate Privacy Notice

TradeRecruit is free for candidates. Employers pay all of our fees. We'll never ask you to pay to apply, to be placed or to get a job.

What you put in your application: your name, contact details, location, trade, experience, certifications, skills, current employer, availability, shift and travel preferences, pay expectations, and your answers about work authorization. We also keep your resume, and notes from our conversations with you.

We present you to an employer only for jobs you've agreed to be considered for. When we do, the employer sees this profile in our client portal:

• First name and last initial (for example, “Marcus A.”)
• Current job title, city and state
• Union status, driver's license, and whether you own your tools
• When you're available to start, and our notes about your experience

The portal never shows your email, phone number, resume, current employer or pay expectations. We give an employer your full name and contact details only when you've agreed to move forward with them, for example to set up an interview. You can tell us at any time to stop presenting you to a particular employer, or to anyone.

We don't use artificial intelligence or automated scoring to screen, rank or reject candidates. Every decision we make about presenting you to an employer is made by a person. Employers make their own hiring decisions.

We may call or text you from our own phone about your application and about jobs that fit your experience. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts, or just tell us to stop calling. We don't sell or share your number for marketing.

Up to 3 years after our last contact with you, then we delete it. Illinois requires employment agencies to keep records of candidates we send to employers for 3 years, so we can't delete those records sooner. We can always stop contacting you and stop sharing your information.

• See the information we have about you and get a copy.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Ask us to delete your information, except records the law requires us to keep.
• Stop calls, texts or emails, or stop being presented to employers.

If you need an accommodation to apply or interview because of a disability, pregnancy, religion or another reason, request one here. We use what you tell us only to arrange the accommodation. We present candidates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, military status, or any other status protected by law.
